In the Gloaming
Across the sky, where pearly clouds ride high and all is calm – The sun has set, ist colours merged and met in evenings's charm.
A star is seen, and others prick the sheen of velvet night; While very soon, majestic, harvest moon beams brilliant light.
This perfect hour – a frame for shrub and flower and distant hill; A picture view – well known, yet now – as new – and night is still.
