I wait more than the watchman who waits for the morning (Psalm 130)
I wait by day and I wait by night for the knock, the latch, and the burst - open door for the laughing sound of your voice, so bright, reaching through to my heart´s crusted core.
So hope bears me up, and I look for its ray ´till the star goes out, which has long been a - wane. The house stands lonely at break of day; and I wait for your coming, in vain.
